About Midea MAD20C1ZWS Dehumidifier for up to 1500 Sq Ft with Reusable Air Filter
77% of users praised the dehumidifier's impressive capacity
With windows open, I was able to collect half a bucket of water in 24 hours using the powerful dehumidifier.
The dehumidifier has a good capacity to extract moisture from the air, removing 3-4 gallons of water per day.
The 50 pint model dehumidifier has effectively kept my semi-finished basement area (~1,584 sq ft.) super fine when it comes to moisture since December 2020.
I bought the 20 pint option but in future I would opt for the largest capacity.

74% highlighted the low noise level, but 26% found it too loud
Based on placement, the noise level is not a distraction.
During the first couple of hours of operation, the compressor was noisy, but then there were no weird noises, rattles or buzzing.
The biggest factor in my purchase was the sound/noise of the dehumidifier. My old dehumidifier was so loud that it sounded like a diesel generator. Based on my experience, I can say that the user has faced this problem personally.
The dehumidifier is relatively quiet and different from my last one.

The dehumidifier is easy to move with its wheel designs and has a good design.

76% were satisfied with the drainage, but 24% encountered challenges
I like the drainage option and have attached a hose on the back which allows the water to drain into the drain pipes without the need for manual emptying.
I hooked up a hose to the back of the removable water collection bucket for continuous operation, which empties into a drain.
It's a great feature that I don't have to empty the container every day or two.
This dehumidifier is suitable for those who don't have a place to drain dehumidifiers in bucketless mode.

73% found the filter maintenance hassle-free, however 27% struggled
This is the first dehumidifier I have ever owned that gives easy access to the evaporator coil without having to take it apart.
I can easily access and remove the air filter from the back for cleaning.
I couldn't find any way to remove and clean the filter. I had to take a vacuum to it and it's easy enough but you will need a brush style attachment as the filter is behind some deep grooves meaning the brush will be needed to agitate that dust out of the filter and into your vacuum.
I have been trying to get a response from customer service for more than a week about accessing the filters.
67% of users were impressed by the advanced features and controls
I appreciate the larger volume of water storage provided by the bucket, which requires less frequent emptying.
I appreciate the high walls and large area of the bucket, which reduces the risk of water damage from uneven carrying.
I appreciate the various functionalities of the app, including tank levels and full tank forecast, adjusting target humidity and fan speed, and setting up schedules. The remote control worked instantly.
I like the performance and convenience of this dehumidifier, and it provides great relief from the moderate humidity of my coastal northeast summer.

77% acknowledged energy efficiency, yet 23% didn't
I have noticed the amount of energy consumed by the dehumidifier in different modes. The dehumidifier consumes different amounts of energy in different modes.
The dehumidifier consumes 352W and pumps out warm, dry air in the top exhaust.
I am unsure about the energy efficiency of the dehumidifier, but it seems fine to me.
Investing in an efficient dehumidifier is worthwhile as they consume a large amount of energy.
