I missed the information about the length of tubing for continuous drain in the item description. The unit is constructed in such a way that it seems most suited for continuous drain over bucket operation. The tubing connects easily to the drain spigot from the condensation coils - which is actually the drain path to the collection bucket. By installing the tubing, the bucket is completely bypassed.
I find the continuous drain feature of the dehumidifier useful and convenient, allowing me to set it and forget it.
