Despite being exposed to western sun and occasional rain, the deadbolt continues to work.
When it gets cold outside, the spring slips and the lock no longer engages, causing it to spin freely when trying to lock or unlock it. This happens half the time and then it stops working altogether.
Each lock has failed multiple times when the temperature drops below 30 degrees, indicating poor weather resistance of the deadbolts.
