About CYCPLUS GPS Bike Computer
76% praised for its accurate readings, while 24% experienced occasional errors
When I use the device on a classic scooter, it is more accurate than the cabled original.
I have complained about the accuracy of the cycling computer, specifically the GPS signal loss that results in significant errors as compared to the actual known distances traveled. I encountered specific errors during my rides, such as the unit measurement being 5.7% short and during a 22-mile ride on the C&O Canal Towpath, the error was a whopping 30%! The Cycplus wireless recorded only 15.4 miles of the actual 22-mile ride.
80% appreciated the long battery life, though 20% experienced quicker drain
I assumed that the computer could be easily removed for re-powering, but every recharge requires repeating the process once the battery drains.
82% liked the seamless connectivity
The GPS connectivity of this cycling computer is a great feature that eliminates the need for cables and battery changes.
79% liked the clear display
The display is retroilluminated and visible clearly in all conditions, including low light and sunlight.
72% found it easy to install, but 28% found the default mount flimsy
I found it easy to set up the cycling computer, taking approximately 10 minutes to complete the setup.
I found that the mounting bands do not need to be removed, contrary to what the reviewer said.
I found it a bit challenging to understand the instructions, but I was able to figure it out. I also need to get the odometer working on it as it did not register mileage during my test ride.
72% found it easy to navigate, but 28% found the menu confusing
I adapted the mount for my own use and it worked fine.
If the bands break, there is a risk of losing or breaking the computer as it is held rigidly in place.
