About Schwinn Meridian Adult Tricycle Bike
Overall Feedback:
75% positive
65% highlighted the weight
I am slightly overweight and haven't ridden a bike in 15 years. But, I can ride this bike and even carry my two 20 lb. Cavaliers in the basket.
66% found the handlebar design comfortable, but 34% experienced hand fatigue
I had to lean too far down for the handle bars and even after adjusting it as high as possible, it was still uncomfortable. This indicates that the handlebar design was not suitable for me.
I feel that the handlebars are welded and in a downward position, causing the cables to twist.
I dislike the handlebar grips.
I had to lean too far down for the handlebars, even after adjusting them to the highest position.
71% liked the frame material, while 29% were disappointed
The trike is made of good materials and all threaded areas on frame are well tapped and threaded for ease of assembly.
I experienced a bad crash and the rear-left wheel frame bent.
68% appreciated the frame geometry, yet 32% encountered issues
I find the bike unstable and difficult to keep upright when turning due to its 3 wheels.
74% were satisfied with the braking system; however, 26% weren't
I have noticed that the front brake needs tuning and the rear brake is useless due to low-quality materials. I tried to fix it, but it only reduces the speed.
I need to tune the front brake and replace the low-quality materials of the rear brake as it only reduces the speed.
I added 10 in. riser bars, a 5 in supported seat post, turned the goose neck around that moved everything back 6 inches. It helped me to sit upright and ride comfortably, saving my knees and back. The cost of these additions was approximately 25 bucks.
I followed the measurement guide for wheel sizing and bought the 24” wheels, steel frame, for my 9 yr old daughter with 26” inseam and 55” tall. The wheel size was perfect for my daughter and would work for a kid with a 25” inseam and 53”+ tall (our 8 yr old).
