The backing of this vinyl is clear plastic, which is a positive aspect of the product. I have faced problems with cheap vinyl in the past, where the backing paper gets completely stuck even to a light grip mat making it impossible to remove without destroying the vinyl in the process. Based on my experience, I can say that this vinyl is much easier to work with.
