About Panasonic NN SD975S Cyclonic Wave Inverter Technology 1250W 2.2 cu.ft. Countertop Microwave
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
63% found the ventilation satisfactory, however 37% disagreed
I deducted a fraction of a star because the cooling fans noises are noticeable when the unit is started to cook.
65% highlighted the turntable functionality, but 35% raised concerns
Cleaning the glass plate of the turntable is a bit difficult, but I have managed to keep it in one piece so far.
I can now use my largest Corning Ware Casserole dish in the new microwave as it has a 16.5' turntable, unlike my older unit with a 15' turntable. I have faced this problem personally and can confidently say that the new microwave is experience-rich.
The turntable capacity allows me to microwave practically everything.
The turntable inside is over 16 inches in diameter and can handle full size dinner plate and 9x13 baking dish easily.
To get a 2.2 cubic foot interior, the unit is very large.
66% appreciated its cooking power, but 34% didn't agree
I have found that this microwave cooks food faster and more evenly than any other I have used before.
I like the larger size and more powerful wattage of this microwave. I also prefer the continuous cooking method over the on/off method used by most microwaves. Additionally, I have noticed that the food cooks more evenly in this microwave.
I put butter in the microwave, set 20% power and gave it a quick 30 seconds. The butter was cooked perfectly without melting out the center while leaving the rest hard.
This microwave is very powerful at 1,250 watts and cooks all foods on shorter time without requiring as much power.
The exhaust is on the left side, which is perfect for my half-enclosed microwave shelf as I can push it all the way in without blocking off the vent.
