Cleaning the blender is usually just a rinse, but occasionally detergent is used as shown in the videos.
Cleaning the Vitamix is easy, it can be cleaned with water and a drop of dish soap in the carafe, and rinsed easily.
I find it easy to clean the blender by blending it with some dish detergent and then rinsing it.
I usually rinse the blender after each use and blend water with a drop of soap for a minute every other use. It's easy to clean.
