I noticed a safety feature of the blender for the first time when I thought I had screwed the bottom on correctly but it was not flush at the first glance and the blender would not start. This safety feature saved me from a mess.
I smelled burnt rubber every time I used it and the last time I used it, smoke was pouring out of it. This indicates questionable safety features of the product.
The safety tabs are made of plastic and can break. There is a design flaw in the portion of the motor unit onto which the safety tabs are seated.

After 20 uses, the blender started leaking, indicating poor durability.
The durability of this unit is quite poor. The three tabs on the cups to activate the motor are not rugged and break off. The motor mounts are all plastic too and they break then you have to toss the whole thing. Basically, these are junk unless you plan to replace them once a year if you are a daily user.
