I am dissatisfied with the blender's speed settings. There is only one speed which creates a lot of splash against the walls of the blender. The lid does a poor job of containing the liquid and I can never fill it to the top or it will spill when turned on.

Without placing the lid in one specific place, I cannot start the motor.
I like the motor on top design feature and the fact that you can't operate it without the lid on, which is a good safety feature.
If the safety switch does not match up perfectly with a button on the lid, and the lid needs to be centered with the pour spout, the blender will not work.
