About Ninja 400-Watt Blender/Food Processor for Frozen Blending, Chopping and Food Prep
Overall Feedback:
95% positive
91% highlighted the variety of speed settings, though 9% wanted more options.
I am dissatisfied with the blender's speed settings. There is only one speed which creates a lot of splash against the walls of the blender. The lid does a poor job of containing the liquid and I can never fill it to the top or it will spill when turned on.
81% appreciated the safety features, although 19% had concerns.
Without placing the lid in one specific place, I cannot start the motor.
I like the motor on top design feature and the fact that you can't operate it without the lid on, which is a good safety feature.
If the safety switch does not match up perfectly with a button on the lid, and the lid needs to be centered with the pour spout, the blender will not work.
86% found it exceptionally quite, but 14% raised concerns.
Occasionally, my motor slows down and gets a bit noisy, but it still works great.
When I use the blender, it is not very noisy.
The blender is loud, but I am used to the noise level of all blenders, so it is not an issue for me.
The blender gets the job done, but it's a bit loud.
I still like the blender even though it's a bit noisy for my taste.
The motor is too loud for making smoothies early in the morning.
The blender's noise level hurts my ears, even though it's not very loud.
92% liked how easy it is to clean
It's so easy to quickly rinse and air dry the pieces that I don't even need to put them in the dishwasher.
Cleaning the countertop blender is very easy. I just rinse everything out after use and put in a bit of soapy water and run it once more to clean it.
I find it easy to clean the countertop blender, unlike some reviewers who have mentioned otherwise. I love the machine because cleaning it is quick and easy.
It's easy to clean the blender, especially if you do it immediately.
93% appreciated its durability, yet 7% had issues with wear.
I have used the blender constantly over the years and found it to be great.
The plastic pitcher had cracks that spread from the central point at the bottom where the blades rest, making it too leaky to use.
My last blender lasted for 3 years before breaking down, which is still a short lifespan. 6 months is just unacceptable.
The rubber ring around the bottom comes off easily, which is a con for me.
89% praised for its powerful blending, but 11% found it underpowered.
With the Ninja 400, I don't need to manually stir or tip-up the container to bring the contents in contact with the blade.
I love making smoothies with it. It has a nice blending power and can even crush ice.
I find the blender powerful enough for my needs, but it struggles with blending a too course mix.
I have noticed that the blender does not blend well, even for making smoothies and drinks.
The blender doesn't blend smoothly and leaves chunks of fruits or ice. I tried pulsing and blending but still didn't get a uniform product. Also, powders stick to the sides and don't get access to water, proving that it doesn't do a solid and total blending job.
Blending spinach can be a challenge, indicating that the blender may not be strong enough to blend certain ingredients smoothly.
90% liked the quality of the blades, but 10% had issues with dullness.
I accidentally sliced my palm open and my brother cut himself on the blades his first time using it. The blade quality of the product is a concern.
I am dissatisfied with the blender's speed settings. There is only one speed which creates a lot of splash against the walls of the blender. The lid does a poor job of containing the liquid and I can never fill it to the top or it will spill when turned on.
The lid is a safety feature that triggers a sensor and the blender will not run without it in place.
