The grip/handle is comfortable and the wide nozzle makes it easy to cover a good area of food with a single pass.
Our torches may not self-ignite perfectly, but they are better than a bernz-o-matic torch and will usually start without help (after a few tries) unless it is very cold outside.
I find it easier to get the sear just as I like than going the broiler route.
