I have tried filling the torch vertically and horizontally, but it is difficult to tell if the butane is filling the torch or just leaking.
I have a torch that can burn anything it touches, including carpet or rug. My celebrity chef friend wouldn't even take it and I feel it could possibly burn the house down.

I can get the flame down to around 50% without it going out, but the control range is fairly limited.
I could not control the flame as it erupted from the tip and I was unable to shut it off.
I have noticed that the ignition trigger starts the flame but does not extinguish it when released. To turn off the flame, I need to adjust the knob on the back of the unit to shut off the gas flow.
I cannot use the torch with one hand.

I have found that the torch performs as expected and is safe to use, despite some issues.
This torch cannot be used with one hand as it has no functioning safety features and will keep burning until the knob is turned off with the other hand.
The safety feature of the cooking torch is not adequate as it only prevents the striker from striking, not the fuel from being turned on, which could lead to accidental ignition or fuel exhaustion.
I wish the product had a small rubber o-ring gasket in the butane fill port as the butane shoots all over when trying to fill it.
