About FunOwlett Butane Torch Kitchen Blow Lighter
86% liked the easy-to-clean design, but 14% found it a hassle
I bought this torch because it is easy to control the flame for charring BBQ steaks.
The product is easy to travel with and can be stored in a drawer due to its small size.
For my experiments in acrylic painting, I prefer this torch with a gentle flame.
On the lowest heat setting, the torch is very quiet and it is easy to think that it is turned off.
75% were impressed with the sleek design, but 25% weren't
This torch is much easier to use than the creme brulee torch I had been using before.
The cooking torch works well and takes up less space than a full-size Butane torch.
The unit starts much better than the other torch and has a small dent on the spout, but it does not affect the functionality.
The only difference between this torch and the Iwatani torch is the shape of the connection which goes against butane cane. The Iwatani torch has a round shape while mine has a star shape.
74% liked the flame control, but 26% found it difficult to adjust
I noticed that the dial near the flame controls the sharpness of the flame, whether it is completely defined or a wider flame. The dial near the flame controls the sharpness of the flame, whether it is completely defined or a wider flame.
I love the torch because I can accurately control the flame from weak to strong.
This cooking torch is very adjustable with a wide dispersed flame or a sharp, narrow flame using the front adjustment knob. However, it does not light when the adjustment knob near the front is turned to the wide flame.
I have noticed that the gas regulator is flimsy and when the unit is turned upside down on low, the flame goes inadvertently strong. This can be dangerous if you don't expect it, so be careful if you need to turn this unit upside down.
79% liked the long-lasting fuel life, but 21% found it ran out quickly
I am a little concerned about the long-term fuel efficiency of the torch as I have noticed a slight leakage sound when connecting it to a gas can. However, I have not smelled any gas and the sound does not continue to make a sound. I am concerned about the long-term efficiency of the torch.
68% appreciated the comfortable grip, while 32% found it slippery
It is fast and easy to attach to any standard camp stove butane canister.
I advise not to touch the metal part of the cooking torch as it gets hot fast.
75% praised the safety features, but 25% desired more
This unit starts on the first attempt almost every time. However, there is a flimsiness on the gas regulator that can be dangerous if not expected. Safety features could be improved.
To turn off the torch, simply close the fuel by turning the back dial and it will turn off quickly.
I did not mention any specific safety features of the cooking torch.
I had trouble lighting the torch the second time I used it, but I figured out the issue after fidgeting with it. Be aware of this issue if you don't use the torch frequently.

67% appreciated the wind-resistant flame, but 33% struggled
I have not mentioned anything about the wind resistance of the cooking-torches.
When I connect the torch to a can, I hear a sssshhh sound for a split second as if a little gas is leaking and it doesnt feel 100% secure. It is also a little bit less secure than the Iwatani though only by a very small fraction.
