About logitech MX ERGO Advanced Wireless Trackball
Overall Feedback:
79% positive
74% appreciated the adjustable settings
I found it really nice that the trackball has an adjustable position.
I love the magnetic base that allows for adjusting the angle or hand position.
I appreciated the additional wedge that came with the mouse, which allowed me to increase the angle even more. Using it at the largest angle caused relief in my wrist.
86% liked the easy connectivity, but 14% found it difficult
I have always had trouble pairing the trackball with my computer. Despite trying to use it as the best overall solution, it does not connect to Bluetooth each time I sit down to work.
There is a slight delay of 4 to 6 seconds each time I need to move the mouse over to interact with things on the other computer.
I am disappointed that the product does not have a USB-C, making it difficult to charge with the obsolete USB type.
77% liked its durability, but 23% experienced wear and tear
I like the metal accents that give this a solid feel and construction, indicating good durability.
I used to have the M570 trackball and loved it. I had several of them. But, I felt it was time to get something new. So, I bought the MX Ergo and everything was smooth. However, the clicking sound of the left click was distracting and I could not get over it. I even took the mouse apart and fixed it myself.
I received a defective trackball and had issues with the right button spring and replacement. Surprisingly, switching the balls made a difference, indicating that the trackball is not durable and has component issues.
After 16 months, my first trackball failed and I had to purchase another one.
79% appreciated the comfortable grip, 21% found it uncomfortable
This trackball feels better in my hand with a rubbery coating that adds to the comfort.
This trackball is probably the most comfortable one I have ever used, and I have used trackballs since the 90s.
I advise against buying the Pro version of the trackball because the rubber ergo mount is not worth the hassle of using. Most people will get tired of keeping it in place and stop using it.
The bottom plate of the trackball starts to stick to smooth surfaces and its shape is less comfortable than the cheaper version of this trackball.
72% liked the quiet operation, but 28% found it noisy
I have complained about the distracting and noticeable loud clicking sound of the mouse.
81% praised the high-quality sensor, while 19% experienced accuracy issues
Cleaning the accumulated crud off the roller bearings is easy and fast, and the roll is smoother than previous generations.
I have complained about the distracting clicking sound of the trackball.
I am disappointed with the pairing functionality of the product, despite its physical condition being pristine.
Sometimes I accidentally activate the side buttons when positioning the mouse on my desktop. This could be a problem for users who cannot adjust the trackball according to their preference.
At first, the ball may be stiff, but it will improve with use.
