About Logitech Ergo M575 Wireless Trackball Mouse
Overall Feedback:
80% positive
68% appreciated the adjustable settings, but 32% found them limited
I can adjust the cursor speed through software, but the resolution is static.
The trackball is not suitable for small movements after being stationary, which is a deal breaker for tasks like highlighting text or pixel-perfect art.
70% liked the easy connectivity, but 30% found it difficult
I recently bought a Nulea M501 rechargeable wireless trackball mouse for my wife and was surprised that its bluetooth connectivity was quick, easy and so far it has stayed connected.
I had a bad experience with Bluetooth connectivity, but it became much better once I paired it via USB.
73% liked its durability, but 27% experienced wear and tear
I feel that the construction of the trackball is solid, indicating its durability.
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I had issues with the trackball left click button becoming intermittent and sometimes double clicking.
I put in an average of 50 hours per week working on the computer, so a mouse designed to last longer would be ideal considering the wear and tear.
In my experience, these computer-trackballs only last about 2 years. I'm not sure if it's because they are subject to harder use since they are not just sitting on a desk and get transported all over with me.
After 1 year and 10 months of use, the trackball failed.
77% appreciated the comfortable grip
The trackball feels good in my hand and my fingers rest naturally in all the right places.
After switching from a regular mouse to a trackball, my hand hurts less and it is much more comfortable and convenient for me as I have a laptop on a very small table.
The build quality is excellent and the ergonomics seem perfect.
65% liked the quiet operation, but 35% found it noisy
I am happy with the trackball so far and have not noticed any grittiness in the trackball movement.
I experience static friction while using the trackball, which affects its accuracy.
After a week of use, my left mouse button started sticking again.
I accidentally right-click and some random menu or something pops up. I'm not sure what's causing this issue.
I didn't realize how much ease changing my hand position about 30deg would do for my health. There was a lingering tightness in my forearm that has subsided and my wrist is not as sore, all in just 3 days of use.
Sometimes I accidentally activate the side buttons when positioning the mouse on my desktop. This could be a problem for users who cannot adjust the trackball according to their preference.
