About Logitech Ergo M575 Wireless Trackball Mouse
Overall Feedback:
93% positive
91% appreciated the adjustable settings, but 9% found them limited
I found it easy to customize button functions and adjust tracking sensitivity, tailoring the mouse to my preferences.
After a good cleaning, I put the track ball and battery back in and it worked perfectly.
I am dissatisfied with the ergonomics of the product, specifically with the adjustability of the computer-trackball. I have big hands and earlier versions always fit me perfectly. But over the last decade, the device has gotten smaller and smaller, until this product finally has my hand flopping over every edge of the device. It is very uncomfortable to use now.
87% liked the easy connectivity, but 13% found it difficult
Customizing button functions and adjusting tracking sensitivity is easy, allowing me to tailor the mouse to my preferences.
I suggest that the trackball works well for gaming with the Logitech dongle within 3 ft. If it's farther, the wireless connection will drop and have to renegotiate the link.
93% liked its durability, but 7% experienced wear and tear
I have been using Logitech trackballs for over 30 years and have been satisfied with both the wired and wireless versions, indicating their durability and reliability over time.
I bought my first M575 and it lasted for 1 year and 10 months.
The quality of the product has decreased over time, despite an increase in price. I had a better experience with a similar product 5 years ago.
93% appreciated the comfortable grip, 7% found it uncomfortable
I find the device uncomfortable to use because it has gotten smaller over the last decade and I have big hands.
91% liked the quiet operation, but 9% found it noisy
The review mainly focuses on the comfort, precision, and overall performance of the trackball mouse, without specific information on its noise level.
If you keep the Logitech dongle within 3 ft of the trackball, there will be no issues with the wireless connection. But if you keep it farther, the wireless connection may drop and have to renegotiate the link.
74% praised the high-quality sensor, while 26% experienced accuracy issues
The trackball mouse has smooth tracking and the cursor glides seamlessly across the screen, responding accurately to every movement.
I found the sensor quality poor as it broke easily.
If I keep the trackball more than 3 ft away from the Logitech dongle, the wireless connection drops and I have to renegotiate the link.
I would prefer a smaller trackball like the Kensington Bluetooth SlimBlade Trackball Mouse Wireless K72281US, which has Bluetooth connectivity instead of RF, saving me a USB port on my Dell XPS 18.
I initially thought I would have issues with the right click button being in a different spot than what I'm used to, but it turned out to be not bad at all. I can see myself adjusting to it easily.
I noticed that there is a switch beside the roller which controls the pointer speed and energy consumption. It has high and low settings.
