I have noticed that the settings are saved on the computer, not the device. This is an important feature for me as I can adjust the settings according to my preference. I can understand omitting on-board settings for cheaper mice, but this device is not cheap.
I desired adjustable palm options and had to purchase a separate palm rest.

If you don't plan to use the trackball for something like controlling a robot that performs brain surgery on a human, you can just ignore it.

The build quality is extremely solid and the buttons feel nice to hit. The trackball moves smoothly.
I did not mention anything about the durability of the computer-trackball.
I concluded that the product had the potential to be the best pointing device I have ever used, but it turned out to be one of the worst.
