About ELECOM Relacon Handheld Trackball Pointer
67% appreciated the adjustable settings, but 33% found them limited
I want to adjust the curve of the underside of the trackball, but I don't know how to make it adjustable.
I suggest making the dpi switch more accessible for quick switching between fast and slow depending on the target on the screen.
The scroll wheel lacks adjustments, free wheel, or right/left tilt, making it difficult to use the right/left buttons for presentations.
68% liked the easy connectivity, but 32% found it difficult
I suggest that the trackball can connect to multiple devices with Bluetooth or a USB dongle if Bluetooth is not available.
The connectivity of this trackball is very poor with a range of only 1ft/30cm. If I position my body between the device and the receiver, the signal will be blocked entirely. In comparison to other Bluetooth products, it is not as good.
The trackball does not connect.
69% liked its durability, but 31% experienced wear and tear
I have dropped the trackball 20+ times on hard floors and it is incredibly sturdy.
The product has helped me with wrist pain that I have been experiencing over the years.
After using Elecom products, I expressed disappointment with their durability. They may look cool and be ergonomic, but in my opinion, they are absolute garbage.
I am dissatisfied with the quality of the scroll wheel, which is one of my most used features.
70% appreciated the comfortable grip, 30% found it uncomfortable
The trackball is an ergonomic choice as it is comfortable to use in all relaxed positions that feel best for my hand in the moment.
I am taking some time to get used to holding the trackball so that my middle finger is resting on the left-click button and my index finger on the right-click button. However, as I am learning to relax my grip and hold it lightly, it is starting to feel more natural.
The mouse is a bit large with a slippery surface, making it difficult to grip. I had to add grip tape to solve this issue.
66% liked the quiet operation, but 34% found it noisy
The trackball produces a cheap, plasticky sound when handling because of its tiny bit of travel away from the bearings, cickity-clacking against the retention ring.
The Bluetooth trackball has connectivity issues with my laptop. It has a range of 1ft/30cm and if the connection is not within that range, it results in stutters and cursor jumps.
I have noticed that the trackball works smoothly only when used in an upright position as it does not stay in place.
64% praised the high-quality sensor, while 36% experienced accuracy issues
The trackball has good sensor quality, as it is smooth and responsive.
During a presentation, I noticed that the trackball socket is loose and comes out of place when my arm is at the side or angled. I have to apply pressure to keep it in, but the cursor still moves due to arm movements. This indicates a problem with the sensor quality of the trackball.
I desire a higher quality scroll wheel as it is one of my most used features.
