About ELECOM Wired Thumb-Operated Trackball Mouse
Overall Feedback:
81% positive
76% appreciated the adjustable settings, but 24% found them limited
The battery life is solid and there are options to adjust wireless signal strength and tracking sensitivity for faster speed or longer battery life.
The claw position of the trackball is not initially comfortable, but I am convinced that I will eventually grow accustomed to it after a few days of use.
When I try to move slowly and precisely, the motion is not smooth.
78% liked the easy connectivity
I prefer wired devices over wireless trackballs because they do not have any interference from WiFi.
78% liked its durability, but 22% experienced wear and tear
The Elecom trackball has a more comfortable fit and superior build quality compared to the Logitech M570.
I have been using this trackball for a couple of months now and faced no issues with quality. It has a very solid build.
I gave 2 stars for lack of durability as it failed to last a year, despite working wonderfully in the beginning.
After a year of heavy use, the scroll wheel on my mouse developed a problem where it often registers a scroll in the opposite direction or fails to respond for a detent or two.
73% appreciated the comfortable grip
The trackball has an excellent design for comfort, especially for someone with larger hands.
The trackball feels great in my hand but takes some time to get used to the extra curve, unlike the LOGI which was flatter.
67% liked the quiet operation, but 33% found it noisy
I did not mention the noise level of my computer-trackball.
78% praised the high-quality sensor, while 22% experienced accuracy issues
The mouse is not very precise, although it is not bad.
I wish the mouse had a laser sensor for better accuracy.
I cleaned the tracker ball with an alcohol wipe and a Q tip as directed on the sensor, but it was worse after cleaning. This indicates a problem with the sensor quality of the tracker ball.
The tablet has options to adjust wireless signal strength and tracking sensitivity for faster speed or longer battery life, and its battery life is solid.
I would prefer a smaller trackball like the Kensington Bluetooth SlimBlade Trackball Mouse Wireless K72281US, which has Bluetooth connectivity instead of RF, saving me a USB port on my Dell XPS 18.
