I have not faced any issue with the output knob being loose and the build quality of the unit is solid throughout.
The hardware has a solid build quality and works out of the box in Linux.

The software is not compatible with MacOS Big Sur, which has been out for almost 2 months. Steinberg recommends downgrading the operating system as it causes several issues affecting other applications as well.

I found that the interface installed easily, but the Yamaha ASIO driver will not load if connected through a USB port.
I recommend using an external power supply to avoid audio cutouts on my desktop when using direct USB-C. Make sure the external power has enough power and current to run the interface to avoid further problems.

With my Macbook, the interface was completely useless.
The interface is solid but outdated, non-scaling, and not hiDPI aware. The software mixer and effects are also affected by this issue.
My experience with Steinberg's drivers is that they are solid for low level work and standards, but not great for software UX/UI.
