I was able to connect my personal PC and work MacBook to the monitor using HDMI with a special hub to extend both displays on the Mac and initially the daisy-chained DisplayPorts for my PC - the Thunderport option worked very well for the Mac (to only one display). The monitor has varied connection options.
I was initially worried about the connectivity options, but now I am extremely happy with it.
It is easy to switch to my PC through one of the HDMI ports using the navigational buttons on the screen.
