I bought this cable to use with my 2017 Volkswagen for Apple CarPlay. However, when I tried it out, it was charging my phone but the Apple CarPlay wouldnt kick on. I tried plugging it in again and it still didnt work. I then switched back to my old half broken cable and it connected to Apple CarPlay just fine. Thus, it seems that this cable is not compatible with Apple CarPlay.
