I tried the product again after a few months and broke out inside my mouth. My lips swelled like balloons and my throat also swelled but luckily not a lot. This can be dangerous for someone.

I find the treatment useful in preventing sores and recommend applying it immediately once I feel a sore coming on to keep it from fully developing.
I recommend applying the cold-sore-fever-blister-treatment by letting it dry before application, drying the area with a Q-tip or paper towel, and applying straight from the bottle.
I have noticed that the new formula in the dark bottle with dropper is not as effective as the old formula in the white plastic bottle. I applied about 6-10 drops and still had pain in the area, whereas I usually only have to apply 3-4 drops.
