About POLIVIAR French Press Coffee Maker, 34 oz Coffee Press with Real Wood Handle
Overall Feedback:
82% positive
86% were satisfied the heat retention, but 14% noted it cooled quickly
I loved the coffee press because it kept the liquid piping hot for a long time and did not leak.
I let my coffee steep for about 8 minutes and have found that the insulation of the coffee press makes a difference. A non-insulated version would lose its heat, but this one does not.
After an hour, my coffee becomes room temperature even when I turn the lid to block heat escaping.
71% liked the easy-to-clean design
The coffee press is super easy to clean, store easily and fits in every cabinet I have.
It's very easy to rinse out and doesn't leave any watermarks or stains.
The coffee press has a design feature with no gap where the spout connects to the canister, making for easy cleaning and preventing any water/coffee/grounds from getting caught up, resulting in a clean pour.
74% appreciated the large capacity, but 26% found it too small for groups
I have noticed that this coffee press does not hold 34 ounces of coffee as advertised. Even if I am careful, I may only get 24 ounces, but most likely not.
75% liked the high-quality materials, but 25% found some parts felt cheap
I am disappointed with the quality of the coffee press, specifically the crooked handle that doesn't line up properly.
I had to return the product because the handle snapped off with a firm shake, indicating poor build quality.
The wooden handle on the body is a bit loose and the wooden knob on the press portion spins free from the metal rod, making it more difficult to disassemble and clean all the press components.
The handle broke on the fourth or fifth use, indicating poor build quality.
The filters inside the coffee press do a great job of filtering most of the grounds.
