I compared the heat retention of this coffee-press with my older glass press. My older glass press kept coffee warm enough to drink for maybe 15 minutes, but this one probably doubles that time.
The coffee press does not retain heat well. The outside of the pot becomes very hot when coffee is put in and it does not keep it hot for more than 1/2 an hour.
