Overall Feedback:
89% positive
76% were satisfied with the filter quality , but 24% weren't
Since there is no filtering, complex oils and such that give coffee its complexity are retained.
I have used other coffee grinders that filter out more of the coffee grind, but this one does not.
85% liked the easy-to-clean design
The coffee press is very easy to clean, whether by hand or in the dishwasher. The larger coffee grounds used for French press wash out easily.
The press is easy to clean and can be disassembled by hand with little effort.
I can easily clean the coffee press by rinsing the top and glass, adding dish soap, and pumping it up and down several times.
The coffee press is easy to clean. The grounds and carafe are easy to clean out and rinse. Occasionally, I run hot water and my finger over the press filter and the underside of the cover to clear away oils.
81% liked the high-quality materials, but 19% found some parts felt cheap
The French press has a fantastic construction with a sturdy handle and is worth the price due to its stainless steel and glass build.
The coffee press has a solid hefty lid, quality construction, and a tight fitting plunger with nice thick glass.
The build quality of the coffee press is poor. The metal band on the top is loose, screws were not tightened all the way and have gaps in between. The metal near the bottom is starting to rust.
82% were satisfied with the brew quality
After following the directions to get the coffee to water ratio right, I made the best cup of coffee I have ever had. It was pleasantly strong but without any bitterness.
Brewing coffee in the press keeps all of the flavor directly from the bean in the water and avoids the bitter taste of a standard drip coffee maker.
The coffee press filters well and results in a delicious cup of coffee with very little silt.
