About Cuisinart DCC-3200
Overall Feedback:
88% positive
69% liked the quiet operation, but 31% encountered noise issues
The coffee maker makes a typical amount of noise and is not overly loud or annoying.
Once the coffee is made and sitting on the burner, it continues to pop and crackle loudly enough to hear across the room.
I have noticed that the coffee maker is quiet while brewing but makes subtle clicking/cracking noises while heating or on warm. I can hear cracking and ticking noises coming from the kitchen which makes me think that the thing is going to break or there is something/someone in my kitchen. This review expresses my negative feedback with respect to feature: noise level of coffee-makers.
87% were satisfied with the control options
I always use the button to make coffee brew stronger/bolder, especially when running low on coffee.
There are different control options available such as selecting 'bold' for stronger coffee, adjusting the temperature of the warming plate, and making a smaller batch of 1-4 cups.
80% found cleaning and maintenance easy, but 20% struggled
Cleaning the coffee maker is very easy by following a specific process of adding water and vinegar.
The carafe is relatively easy to clean with the basket and filter being dishwasher safe, but it cannot be cleaned completely.
90% was satisfied with the temperature maintenance, but 10% experienced inconsistency
I tested the brew temperature and found it perfect at 198 degrees at the grounds.
I compared the brewing temperature of two coffee makers and found that the Hamilton Beach coffee maker makes weak coffee due to low brew temperature. The coffee maker I am reviewing averages 192-195°F for a brew temp, which is better.
I checked the brewing temperature of the coffee maker with 3 different thermometers and found it to be low at 184deg. F.
81% found the brewing speed satisfactory, but 19% faced issues
It takes 15 minutes to brew a full pot, but the timer feature is useful in the morning.
The coffee maker takes about eleven minutes to brew a pot and makes a somewhat noisy sound like a percolator.
My old coffee maker brewed 14+ cups in 11 minutes, but the new one takes 14 minutes for the same amount.
Brewing a 10 cup pot of coffee in the coffee maker takes 45 to 60 minutes and is very slow.
The coffee maker brews quickly, less than five minutes for the 'short pot' which is the size I usually make.
