I measured the temperature of the water in the container using a laboratory thermometer and a Fluke multimeter with a Fluke thermocouple and found it to be 168 degrees F.
My maximum water temperature measured with a thermocouple was about 180F, which is 15-20 degrees lower than optimal brewing temperature.

The coffee machine is very easy to clean. The cup the coffee sits in is super easy to clean. The whole thing also lifts off the top of the decanter and I can get my whole hand inside of it to clean it, where as the tradition designs can be a pain without being able to remote the lid and so forth.
