I bought the code reader to diagnose airbag warning after changing the car battery and it worked flawlessly.
This code reader is very useful in reading all the codes from all the computers, determining if there is a serious problem, resetting each computer, and clearing the Check Engine light. It bailed me out both times and I think that one cannot own a Volvo without it. It has saved me two tows and many trips to the dealer.
It took around 10 minutes to clear the codes.

A standard OBD-II reader cannot handle proprietary VOLVO-ONLY codes. I need a code reader that 'speaks Volvo' to read all the codes from all the computers, determine if there is a serious problem, reset each computer, clear the Check Engine light, and save money by avoiding the dealership for minor issues.

I can scan and clear all standard OBD2 codes (engine, emissions) on ANY vehicle, plus I can scan and clear lots of proprietary VAG codes for tranny, brakes, lots more. This shows that my scanner is compatible with a variety of programming languages.
I have noticed that a standard OBD-II reader cannot read VOLVO-ONLY codes and a code reader that 'speaks Volvo' is required.
The code reader has a special setting for Volvo or can be used for other makes as well.
