About Nutiva Organic, Steam Refined Coconut Oil from non-GMO, Sustainably Farmed Coconuts, 128 Fl Oz
Overall Feedback:
89% positive
81% praised its high smoke point for cooking
I tried using coconut oil for frying and found that it did not smoke at max temperature of 375 and at cooking temp of 340. It also did not impart any flavor to food. I made Panko-breaded chicken strips, french fries, fried bananas, doughnuts, all turned out excellent. The oil did not seem to degrade like normal vegetable or canola oil, and after several fryings, it still seems fresh.
84% appreciated the numerous health benefits
Coconut oil is wonderful for brain growth, healing, and prevention/healing of brain diseases like Alzheimers and Parkinsons.
This product provides the benefits of frying with coconut oil without the coconut aftertaste.
90% praised for its high-quality oil
I am satisfied with the quality of the coconut oil and plan to use the whole gallon.
Refined coconut oil is easy to cook with as it has almost no taste of coconut.
I have purchased a higher-caliber product on Amazon.
The product has consistent quality, is well-packed, and comes at a great price.
Our product has a higher burn temperature than virgin coconut oil and is of high quality.
81% liked the mild flavor and aroma
I use regular coconut oil for my skin and food when I desire the coconut smell and flavor.
Coconut oil is not always an asset for cooking due to its flavor, but this steam-refined coconut oil has no odor or flavor.
I use the oil for hair and baking because it has a good taste.
81% liked the texture, but 19% found it very thick
After using coconut oil topically on my hands, feet, neckline, and face, it felt silky smooth after just a couple of uses.
Coconut oil has a slightly yellowish color, zero smell, and looks and tastes like pork lard. If I did not know better, I would believe it to be pork lard.
Coconut oil is thicker and has small particles that settle on the bottom.

Coconut oil has a high smoke point, making it suitable for various cooking methods like sauting, baking, and stir-frying.
