About Ernie Ball Ernesto Palla Nylon Black and Gold Classical Ball End Set
Overall Feedback:
94% positive
81% appreciated the long-lasting strings, though 19% experienced premature wear
These strings have held their elasticity, comfort and sound longer than expected, and have a longer wear-in time from nylon strings than usual.
The black nylon strings are thicker and not slippery on the fingers. They are good for practicing picados and tremolos.
I have only been using the product for a couple of weeks, so I cannot rate its durability. However, I have consistently experienced 'top quality' from this manufacturer.
When the strings break, they do not leave any bite marks under the bridge.
I have tried many strings before, but the black nylon strings are thicker.
All my other strings from the original pack lost their tuning as well.
75% liked the ease of playability, but 25% found it too stiff
The strings have the tone quality for classical Spanish guitar arpeggios and can transition seamlessly to contemporary songs.
After using these strings, I can play like Stevie Ray Vaughn & Eric Clapton combined.
I initially found it difficult to adjust to the classical guitar strings because they were bigger than metal strings. However, after a few days, I became comfortable with it and loved it. Now, my fingers don't hurt and the sound is very soft and smooth.

Before I could even tune my guitar, 2 strings broke.
After playing the strings off and on for a few days, I had to constantly tune them and some of the strings would be in the wrong key entirely.
86% found it easy to install
After installing the strings, I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality and minimal buzzing.
74% praised for its consistent string quality, while 26% noticed variations
I have found that these nylon strings hold their elasticity, comfort, and sound longer than expected, with a wear-in time of about 3 hours.
I have complained that the A string snaps before being tuned to an A and only goes as high as A flat before losing tuning. I tried to tighten it again to attempt to tune, until it snapped.
89% praised for its rich and warm tone, while 11% found it lacking clarity

Many people are complaining about the dead sounding tone of these strings.
I noticed that the strings sound thin and tinny compared to the heavier nylons I normally use. Although they are thinner and more delicate on fingers, they don't deliver the smoother, more buttery tone of other strings out there.
I have been using these strings for more than twenty years on classical guitars with excellent results, indicating their durability.
