I noticed that the high E string split and broke during the initial setup with the string. This indicates poor durability of the string.

During the initial setup, I noticed that the high E string split near the bridge. I was able to cut it at the split, flip it around, and still string it up. Although it has not broken yet, it is not ideal for a brand new string to split. It snapped when it was around the B pitch of the 2nd string, still 2 1/2 steps away from its final tension.
77% found it easy to install, but 23% found it difficult

The strings sound beautiful, lively, bright, and vivacious, but somehow ancient, too.

After a couple of hours of playing, the strings stayed in tune and sounded even better the next morning. The DAddario set took 3 days to stay in tune, for example.
