I used to keep my tree in its original box and after a few years it was falling apart. I wished I had reinforced that aging cardboard box. The key feature of the box was that it was rigid.

I initially bought a larger bag but it had too much extra room, causing the tree to move too much to be safe going up and down from the attic. The smaller bag is a better fit and easier to manage down the attic ladder.
