My daughter still has no teeth, but we still use this toothbrush and toothpaste, it's been almost 11 months since she was 8 months old, so we can start brushing the gums and tongue at any age.
The photos here do not do it justice, it is very cute in person, and it is easy for my baby to grasp even though she is only 9 months old.
The brush is just the height of one of the toddler's teeth, and it's cute. I found a lot of other brushes for toddlers to be too big still.
It is the second kind we have tried, and she loves brushing her teeth, but sometimes the bristles come out, which I don't think is great if swallowed.
We ordered this when my daughter was 8 months old, and now 11 months old, but we still use it, because my daughter still has no teeth.
Question & Answers
Is it possible for the elephant ear to prevent the child from putting the toothbrush to far into the mounth?
My daughter used the elephant ears to hold onto the tooth brush so it wouldn't go to the back of her throat.

It is easy to use, but not the most durable.
My baby hates opening her mouth wide, and some of the baby toothbrushes are so big. Is the toothbrush flat?
It's not big enough for my granddaughter.
Is this a hard brush like the toddler store ones? My toddler's gums are too rough on them.
I'm not sure what the store ones are like, but this is the first one I've bought for my daughter and it feels pretty soft.

There are babies to toddlers, between the ages of baby to toddler.
