I was amazed to see that the boiling water went down immediately without any issue while rinsing. No water has pooled for over 7 minutes, which shows the effectiveness of the chemical drain opener on various materials commonly found in plumbing systems like PVC metal pipes and ceramic.
I used the chemical drain opener and found it effective on various materials. I poured it in after draining my tub full of water from a shower one night, let it sit overnight, and the next morning I boiled a big pot of water and poured it down the drain. I was surprised when all of it was sucked down immediately. It lasted for at least a couple of weeks and then I used it again, and it lasted longer this time. And then one more time. That was months ago now and the drain is still sucking water down probably better than when they installed these pipes!
