I found the cheese slicer easy to use. My 13-year-old daughter took right to it and used it to slice all of the veggies. I liked the markings on the board as they helped me make consistently even cuts. It has also helped my mom, who is 84 and still loves to cook but has arthritis and is no longer able to effectively use a knife. I even asked her to try it and she quickly finished slicing the entire thing and asked if there was anything else she could slice.
