About Greenworks 12-Inch 40V Cordless Chainsaw
Overall Feedback:
90% positive
83% highlighted the chain type and sharpness
I can cut up to 3 inches with a sharp chain on my saw, but I leave larger cuts to my bigger saws.
83% liked the engine power
I use the chainsaw to top out trees and appreciate the slower chain speed compared to a normal gas chainsaw.
I found the chainsaw to have a slow chain speed, but it was still pleasant to use. I was able to cut a 10-11 inch diameter oak tree with plenty of battery to spare. Although my 14" Worx would have done it in half the time, I preferred the convenience of the battery-powered chainsaw.
I can cut 3 inches and below with the chainsaw, and it probably has the power to cut larger, but I leave larger cuts to my bigger saws.
78% liked the safety features, though 22% found them inadequate
The handles are durable and can withstand tugging and wiggling when the bar gets stuck.
When using an electric chainsaw on thin limbs, I need to handle it more carefully as it may kick and bounce around due to not having the 'umph' of a gas saw.
88% found it easy to maneuver
The chainsaw is easy to use in tight spaces in dense brush due to its small size and light weight.
The chainsaw is very light and easy to handle, even for someone who has never touched a chainsaw before.
I find the chainsaw to be relatively light-weight and easy to carry around in one hand. It is comfortable to use for hours unlike some other heavier brands.
78% appreciated the bar length
The bar position is far enough from the handles, making it feel pretty foolproof.
I find the chainsaw's alarm extremely annoying when it kicks in after coming off the throttle. It is assumed to be a warning that the saw is still powered on, but I find it very annoying.
