About BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX Alligator Lopper Cordless Chainsaw
Overall Feedback:
69% positive

If I compared the performance of this chainsaw with my gas saw. With my gas saw, I can't chop up medium and small branches because they are too light, the chain grabs them and pulls them into me and binds things up. But with this chainsaw, I can chop up small stuff just great, and it also steps up to the plate to cut 3-4" stuff too.
I can easily cut 4 to 5 inch trees and branches with the chainsaw. It is light enough for my wife to use and holds a charge for a decent amount of time. It cuts really well.
I appreciate that the chain holds its tension well and doesn't need tightening very often.
I can cut through hardwood trees and branches fairly quickly with this chainsaw. It even handles 3 and 4 inch branches, though I have to hold it and let it run for a bit.
77% were satisfied with the noise level
The new model of chainsaw is quieter than the older model and makes less noise when cutting a limb.
79% liked the safety features
The chainsaw has good protection and it's reassuring that the chain isn't likely to bite me.
The chainsaw is very safe to use with a chain cover and safety switch on both handles.
73% found it easy to maneuver
The Lithium Ion battery is smaller and lighter than the battery on the Ni-Cad model, making it easier to hold and use for an extended period of time.
The chainsaw is light enough for my wife to use and can easily cut 4 to 5 inch trees and branches.
81% appreciated the bar length
I can handle 3 and 4 inch branches with the chainsaw, but it requires holding and running for a bit.
77% liked the engine power
I have found that the chainsaw performs well and can cut through different types of wood and handle various tasks. In my partially wooded yard with a mix of Oak, Popular, Elm, Dogwood and other hardwood trees, I was able to cut fairly quickly through some branches that had fallen on my first try.

I find the chainsaw's alarm extremely annoying when it kicks in after coming off the throttle. It is assumed to be a warning that the saw is still powered on, but I find it very annoying.
