I feel cooler at night with the contemporary looking fan that efficiently works with just three blades.
83% were satisfied with the motor performance , although 17% experienced glitches
On the lowest two settings, the fan is very quiet. On the higher settings, the motor makes a slight hum and the blades create a chopping sound like a helicopter.
The fan has a very low hum as it is driven by an AC motor and is not audible when there are other noises around.
When I installed the fan, the motor made a high pitch whine and the blades made a buffeting sound as they spun.

The fan is not quiet enough to operate near sleeping people or someone with a hearing aid.
