I have personally used the fan and found that it is not truly quiet, even on different fan speeds.
This fan is not quiet and has an annoying motor whine at all speeds, unlike other Hunter fans that are whisper quiet.

The ceiling fan fits perfectly in my room with a 9 feet high and slanted ceiling. The longer rod that comes with the fan along with the length of the motor base was able to bring the fan blades far enough away from the ceiling.
