I have noticed that this ceiling fan only comes with a 2" or 3" down rod, while most others come with a longer 5" down rod. I had to order a longer down rod from Hunter or make my own, which has left me with a negative sentiment towards this feature.
If your ceiling is 10 feet high or more, you may need to purchase a longer pipe for the ceiling fan to hang lower. This will cost you an extra 10 inches.
