About Honeywell Carmel 48-Inch Ceiling Fan with Integrated Light Kit
Overall Feedback:
86% positive
69% highlighted the size , yet 31% felt it could be more compact
I ordered a 48'' blade fan because my tall husband needed a closer mounted ceiling fan to avoid hitting it with his hands while getting dressed/undressed. The company didn't have anything bigger than a 48'' blade.
I find that the fan is larger for most 8\ ceilings and the down rod makes the installation much easier by providing for much more room to work and install everything. However, I feel that the wide blades are a bit large and oversized looking in an average sized bedroom. Based on my experience, I have mixed feedback regarding the size of ceiling fans.
84% appreciated the number of blades, whereas 16% didn't
I have 3 blade fans in my living room that put out considerably more air on low.
69% were satisfied with the motor performance , although 31% experienced glitches
I have experienced a noisy motor with an annoying hum on the ceiling fan, which is tolerable on low speed but unbearable on medium or high speed.
66% appreciated the speed options however, 34% found them limited
I have a fan with 3 speeds, but even the highest speed doesn't generate much wind in my 12x15 room.
I ordered a 48'' blade fan because my tall husband needed a closer mounted ceiling fan to avoid hitting it with his hands while getting dressed/undressed. The company didn't have anything bigger than a 48'' blade.
I faced difficulty installing the ceiling fan due to the heavy motor and not-so-sturdy bar provided to hang it, indicating negative sentiment towards the motor performance of ceiling fans.
I found that the three blades of the fan move more air more efficiently than the previous five-blade fan.
