The carrier is easy to clean if there is an accident. The bottom soft area can be separated from the hard plastic and thrown in the wash. The carrier fully unzips to lay flat and the vinyl interior is easy to rinse/wipe clean.
The padding of the carrier can be easily washed and rinsed with a hose, and it dries out quickly after getting wet. The padding fits back in the carrier just fine, indicating that it is easy to clean.
To work around the problem of pet digging, I keep the zipper pulls up top and don't let the pet dig.
The bag is easy to clean and rinse out well, even when the pups threw up in the car. The padding fit back in just fine and it dried out relatively quickly.

I open up the carrier in the car so that my kitty can sprawl comfortably on long car rides while still being protected.
This carrier is portable and can be unfolded to take up the entire trunk/back row area of my Nissan Juke.
I feel better about bringing my dog on flights with the carrier. I can expand one end of it and instantly give her 4 more inches of space in front of her.
