About TRIXIE Trixie Sisal Scratching Posts and Small cat Trees for Young and Adult Cats
Overall Feedback:
90% positive
86% liked its modern design, but 14% thought it was too ugly
I introduced my cat to the sisal rope surface by flicking a feather wand over the post and having him accidentally discover how his claws sink into sisal. He now adores it.
I am impressed with the design and aesthetics of the cat-scratching-post, specifically the plush carpeting.
I am disappointed with the new design of the cat scratching post, especially the post itself, which is the most important part of the product.
91% praised for its durability, while 9% found it broke easily
This cat scratching post is sturdier than any other models I saw for this price. It stands up to my crazy kitty's attacks without falling over or even really tipping.
I suggest adding a square of 10mm MDF to the base for greater stability.
The product couldn't withstand two kittens and an enthusiastic four-year-old. The fixings at the base snapped, causing it to lean at an angle.
After just four weeks of use, my post was destroyed despite my cat being only 4kg and poledancing around it. This indicates poor durability of the product.
The durability of the product has decreased over time. The last one in 2018 was narrower in diameter and the sisal unravelled after only a few months' use.
90% appreciated the comfortable scratching surface, though 10% thought it was too rough
I introduced the sisal rope surface to my cat by flicking a feather wand over the post and he discovered how his claws sink into sisal. Now, he adores it.
When I scratch the material, it barely sheds.
87% liked its compact size, but 13% thought it was too bulky
The post size has decreased from 9cm to 7cm and the base is thinner and less heavy than the last one. The sisal rope is also thinner. It's frustrating as I had ordered it before and it was a different size.
I found the cat was able to topple it over, making it unfit for use.
My cat is not able to fully extend her back when she stretches to scratch this post. It seems that the size of the post is not suitable for her.
The cat-scratching-post is too lightweight and falls over almost immediately, which discourages the cat from scratching it.
90% liked its stability on the floor, but 10% found it tipped over easily
The scratching post is sturdy and can withstand my crazy kitty's attacks without falling over or tipping.
After moving the scratching post next to the area being scratched, I noticed that the cats immediately started using it and stopped scratching the couch edge.
The post is stable and provides stability when my cat gets fired up and decides to tip it over while scratching.
I suggest adding more mass to the base for greater stability. Adding a square of 10mm MDF should fix it.
90% appreciated the comfortable scratching surface

The scratching post is made of sturdy, course rope wrapped around the main cylinder and the base is solid and heavy, so it doesn't get knocked over or dragged around.
