During meal and nap times, we don't use the tunnels. Otherwise, they are constantly in use.
I have seen other tunnels with different tunnels coming off it and if you have a large space or lots of cats that might be the route for you. But I am very happy with my purchase and know if I want to extend it I can just add more to the ends with the strings it has.
