About Vetoquinol Laxatone: Oral Hairball Lubricant Gel for Cats Tuna-Flavored
Overall Feedback:
91% positive
83% appreciated the easy of use, while 17% found it tricky to use
I found the product easy to use with a pleasant flavor.
I found the product difficult to use due to its gooey consistency. Keeping it chilled in the fridge thickens it enough to make squeezing it out less sloppy.
I have noticed that cats tend to lick the paste off their paws or face if it is smeared on them, and if applied in a dollop form, they run off and rub on another surface to help remove it. This indicates that I find the paste difficult to use and administer to the cats.
85% praised for its fast and effective results, whereas 15% saw no improvement
I am satisfied with the effectiveness of the product in helping my cat pass hairballs and stool. It has also reduced the frequency of hairballs being vomited by my cat.
I think it is helping, although I am not sure.
I haven't had enough time to tell if Laxatone is effective at preventing hairballs.
68% praised the natural and non-toxic ingredients, though 32% raised concerns about a specific ingredient
The product has a pleasant flavor that makes cats lick away any remnants on a finger or spoon.
I am disappointed with the addition of GMO soy, a toxic ingredient that can cause degradation to the stomach lining over time.
69% didn't notice any adverse side effects, while 31% reported mild issues
My cat used to vomit hairballs 4-5 times a week, but now it has reduced to once in the past month.
The ointment is very sticky.
I have tried all the flavors, but my cat still hates the taste of the paste.
I have been using this product for years and it is great for hairball or occasional constipation.
