I use Hoover brand deep cleaning shampoo and it smells amazing.
All compartments release easily for cleaning and there are no weird nooks and crannies.
I haven't used the attachments yet, but I'm fairly confident that I won't be disappointed.
I have not used the upholstery attachments yet, but they come in a bag to keep them organized.

I liked the performance of the unit so much that I went on to buy a handheld, portable spot cleaner by Hoover and was very happy with that purchase as well.
I found that the Hoover Smartwash picked up an unbelievable amount of dirt and grit from a nine-month-old carpet.
The best thing about this machine is the ability to remove specific components and clean them out. It allows me to remove dog hair and sanitize it after my child got sick.

The machine is easy to use without a trigger. You can push it forward to wash and pull it back to dry.
The shampooer is very easy to use with an automatic cleaning solution dispenser, eliminating the need to mix cleaner and water. It is used just like a normal vacuum.
The machine is easy to use and cleans extremely well with good suction and liquid extraction. The cleaning solution mixes itself with shampoo in the reservoir, so I didn't have to mix it. After cleaning, the carpet came clean and almost completely dry.

The vacuum strength of this machine is great. It easily sucks up all kinds of dirt and mess. I also had a dog accident and the stain was gone after swiping over it 3 times.
