75% appreciated the variety of attachments, while 25% found them unnecessary.

The best feature of the product is the little hand wand. Once the cord is straightened out fully, it is very easy to use.
The Hoover Powerscrub is easier to turn and more movable than the Rug Doctor.
The product is easy to assemble and operate, but cleaning carpets takes more time than the rentable version. Tanks need frequent refilling and emptying.
The machine is not easy to use as the soap leaks into everything, regardless of the setting used.

The machine is very noisy and ear plugs are a must.
The first machine broke down and started making a funny noise, then it smelled of burning rubber.
Cleaning speed did not affect the noise level.
I have noticed that the machine works great until there is a change in the sound and dirty water stops flowing into the reservoir.
