I noticed that after the third usage, the motor of the carpet cleaner started making a loud noise and smelling. I thought it might be due to a jammed rubber belt, but after inspecting it, I found that it was not the case. I removed the belt and started the machine again, and within a couple of seconds, the motor started making a loud noise and smelling again. I took the panel off and removed the belt and started the machine again, and that is when I found out that it was the motor that was the problem.
I suggest buying a more durable brand as the product did not last even for six months with almost no use.
