The hose with attachment works well for what it is, though it does require old fashioned elbow grease to scrub the carpet. But yes, it works.
After mopping up the stain, I used the cleaning machine to clean it and had to use the hand attachment to get up the excess water.
I use the hose and brush attachment that comes with the cleaning machine to extract as much urine as possible before running the scrubbing end over the area.

I found that the cleaner did an adequate but not spectacular job removing the stain from the carpet and runner. I had greater success going back to my tried and true routine of cleaning up loose stuff with tissue and then scouring the affected area with a hard bristle toilet bowl brush wetted with water beforehand.
I found that the carpet cleaner did a good job on auto clean, but I prefer the hand tool as it cleans a larger area. It felt slightly underpowered for a five-star rating. The automatic cleaning feature left the carpet wet, so I had to go over it again with the hand tool. Even with the hand tool, the carpet was still too wet. However, the auto cleaning feature definitely scrubbed better than I could by hand.

The Bissell SpotBot is very easy to use and requires little storage space compared to other machines that require lots of effort to clean.
I found it very easy to use and it cleaned the carpet very well using special cat urine odor formulated products.
I really like how easy it is to use and clean the machine. The steps to use it include plugging it in, adding solution, pressing a button and walking away, which shows that the machine is easy to use and clean.

The noise level is not a big issue for the 3-6 minutes it takes me to clean the carpet.

I found that the vacuum strength of the carpet-upholstery-cleaning-machine is good as a heavily soiled area was readily cleaned in just the 5 minutes setting.
I had to vacuum the areas multiple times until there was no liquid visibly suctioning through the intake, indicating that the vacuum strength is not sufficient.
